Institute of Marine Biology located in Kotor (Montenegro) hosts one day regional Ocean4Biotech meeting. As due to Covid-19 pandemics hybrid events became new normality, Ocean4Biotech as well is organized in hybrid mode – 13 Action members came to beautiful Kotor, while 20 more are participating online.
The main aim of the meeting is to discuss ongoing action activities and to discuss the ones planned for upcoming grant period. In addition, Ocean4Biotech participants from University of Torino (Italy) and the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (Greece) presented their work – respectively marine fungi and valorization of marine organisms for cosmetics
In the future Ocean4Biotech plans to organize similar meetings based on the regional affiliation. We believe that this kind of meetings are strengthening the relationship among action members and allows us to come up with ideas on how to sustain our network on regional and European levels.
